Technical Architect -UK (Hybrid)- £120K + Bonus

A leading global professional services organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Technical Architect to lead the design and implementation of complex technology solutions across critical public sector projects.

This is a senior technical leadership opportunity for someone with extensive experience across cloud-native technologies, enterprise architecture, APIs and modern software development. You'll translate high-level architectures into detailed technical designs, provide technical leadership to development teams and help shape long-term technology and AI strategies.

You'll work across large-scale digital transformation programmes, designing secure, scalable and accessible citizen-facing services while working with technologies including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the technical design and implementation of complex enterprise-scale systems
Translate high-level solution architectures into detailed technical designs, API specifications, data models and infrastructure designs
Lead cloud-native implementations across AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud
Provide technical guidance, mentoring and assurance to development teams
Conduct technical reviews across code, infrastructure and deployment pipelines
Design secure, scalable and resilient architectures across public sector environments
Lead CRM, Contact Centre and digital transformation programmes
Integrate AI into citizen-facing services, automation and digital platforms

Skills & Experience

Extensive experience in a hands-on Technical Architecture or Lead Development role
Strong experience designing complex, enterprise-scale systems
Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud
Expert-level experience with Node.js, Python and/or Java
Strong experience building scalable backend services and APIs
Solid understanding of architectural patterns including microservices, event-driven and serverless
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code and containerisation
Experience with technologies such as Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps
Strong understanding of GenAI engineering tools, such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
