Oracle OPERA Cloud Implementation Lead - Contract - #2162345

Location: London / hybrid, with travel across hotel sites and potentially Europe

Rate: £500–£600 per day, with flexibility for the right experience

Contract: Expected outside IR35, subject to confirmation

Start: Mid October / ASAP

Duration: Initial six week scoping and preparation phase, followed by 6–8 months of implementation from January 2027

We’re supporting an international hotel group with a migration to Oracle OPERA Cloud across eight properties. We’re looking for a hands on Implementation Lead / Project Manager to shape the initial scoping and preparation phase, then take a central role throughout implementation.

Hands on Oracle OPERA Cloud implementation experience is an absolute requirement, supported by strong project management and/or business analysis capability. Candidates must demonstrate direct involvement in implementation delivery, with the ability to contribute across data migration, testing, integrations and operational readiness.

• Lead initial scoping and preparation, defining requirements, implementation approach, dependencies and delivery plans.
• Work with hotel teams to understand existing processes and translate operational needs into clear requirements.
• Manage implementation delivery across eight properties, coordinating stakeholders, suppliers and property teams.
• Support data migration activities, including mapping, cleansing, validation and coordination.
• Coordinate integrations with connected hotel systems, managing requirements, dependencies and testing.
• Plan and support testing and user acceptance, tracking defects and driving resolution.
• Coordinate training, business readiness and cutover activities to support successful adoption.
• Manage project risks, issues and progress while remaining directly involved in resolving delivery challenges.

• Hands on Oracle OPERA Cloud implementation experience is an absolute requirement.
• Strong project management and/or business analysis capability.
• Ability to take ownership of delivery while working through detailed implementation activities.
• Practical involvement across areas such as data migration, testing and integration coordination.
• Confidence working with operational teams, technical specialists and implementation partners.
• Willingness to travel across client sites, with potential European travel.

• Multiple hotel Property Management System (PMS) implementations.
• Experience delivering across several properties.
• Broader testing, training and change adoption experience.

The priority is someone who has personally contributed to OPERA implementation delivery and can demonstrate what they delivered.

Experience limited to high level programme oversight will not meet the requirement.

The search is primarily for a contractor, although a strong candidate seeking a permanent opportunity may also be considered.
