Marc Daniels is partnering with a well-renowned global brand to recruit a high-impact Senior Accounting Manager to lead a large team across management accounting, operational finance and balance sheet governance. This role sits at the centre of performance reporting, cost control and financial integrity, offering exceptional exposure across Operations, Supply Chain and senior leadership.

You'll oversee a sizeable team responsible for delivering accurate management accounts, driving operational insight and ensuring the balance sheet is tightly controlled across multiple sites and entities. You'll play a pivotal role in how the business understands performance - challenging numbers, improving processes and strengthening the link between finance and operations. With transformation underway, you'll also lead improvements across systems, reporting and month-end efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a large Accounting team, ensuring strong performance and clear progression.
  • Deliver accurate management accounts, including P&L ownership, variance analysis and commercial commentary.
  • Ensure balance sheet integrity, driving reconciliation discipline, ageing reviews and risk remediation.
  • Oversee cost control, margin analysis and operational KPIs, including stock and inventory-related impacts.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial Finance to ensure financials reflect operational reality.
  • Support a fast, accurate month-end close, embedding continuous improvement and stronger controls.
  • Drive process optimisation, automation and system enhancements across the management accounting landscape.
  • Contribute to finance transformation, standardisation and scalability initiatives.

About You

  • Proven experience managing a large management accounting or operational finance team in a complex, multi-site or product-led organisation.
  • Strong understanding of cost of sales, stock/inventory impacts, margin drivers and operational finance.
  • Deep balance sheet experience with a track record of tightening controls and improving reconciliation quality.
  • Commercially minded, confident partnering with senior stakeholders across Operations and Supply Chain.
  • Highly organised, resilient and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
