As a Payroll Specialist you are responsible for managing end-to-end payroll across multiple restaurant brands, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with UK legislation, payroll reconciliations, reporting, and stakeholder support. It is a hands-on position within a fast-paced hospitality group, offering the opportunity to develop payroll expertise while supporting labour cost control, financial reporting, and operational teams.

Description
- Process end-to-end payroll for multiple sites and brands.
- Prepare payroll inputs, including salary changes, deductions, and TRONC payments.
- Reconcile payroll against rotas and investigate variances.
- Produce weekly labour cost and payroll reports.
- Ensure payroll compliance with HMRC and UK legislation.
- Maintain payroll records, controls, and reconciliations.
- Act as the first point of contact for payroll queries.
- Liaise with HR, Operations, and external payroll providers.
- Support payroll reporting, forecasting, and labour cost analysis.
- Identify and resolve payroll issues and discrepancies.
Profile
A successful Payroll Specialist should have:
- 5 years payroll administration experience with end-to-end payroll processing.
- TRONC experience
- Good understanding of UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, NI, pensions, and statutory payments.
- Experience using payroll systems such as Sage, Fourth/S4, or similar.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high volumes of data accurately.
- Confident communicator, able to liaise with employees, managers, HR, and external providers.
- Well-organised with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Job Offer
- Permanent role based in London.
- Salary between £45000 and £60000, dependent on the level of experience.
