Build to Rent (BTR) Leasing & Business Development Consultant

Hamptons is looking for a driven and commercially minded Build to Rent (BTR) Leasing & Business Development Consultant to join our team in London.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced lettings, leasing or property professional to take a leading role in driving occupancy and leasing performance across a portfolio of BTR developments.

You’ll combine sales and lettings expertise, business development, relationship management and market knowledge to generate new opportunities, convert applicants and build strong partnerships across our branch network and with BTR clients.

What you'll be doing

• Drive leasing activity across a portfolio of Build to Rent developments, generating enquiries, arranging viewings and converting prospects into successful tenancies.
• Manage applicants throughout the customer journey, from initial enquiry and qualification through to offer and completion.
• Build new business through branch referrals, database campaigns, networking, corporate and relocation partnerships and targeted BTR campaigns.
• Develop strong relationships with Hamptons branches, branch managers and front-office teams to maximise applicant referrals and viewing opportunities.
• Work closely with BTR clients and key stakeholders, providing regular performance updates, market insight and recommendations.
• Support the launch of new developments through site orientations, branch briefings, training and targeted marketing activity.
• Monitor leasing performance, occupancy, stock availability and conversion, using data and market intelligence to identify opportunities.
• Keep up to date with local rental markets, competitor activity and the wider BTR sector, sharing insight to support leasing strategies.
• Work with marketing teams to ensure developments are presented effectively across portals, social media and other channels.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service, ensuring every applicant and client interaction reflects the Hamptons brand.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who knows how to win business, build relationships and convert opportunities.

You may already be working in residential lettings, Build to Rent, leasing, property sales or another customer-focused property environment, with a proven track record of generating business and delivering results.

You'll also bring:

• Strong sales, leasing and business development experience.
• A proven ability to generate and convert leads into viewings, offers and completed transactions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• The confidence to build relationships with clients, branches and external partners.
• A commercial and target-driven approach, with the ability to use data to identify opportunities.
• Strong knowledge of residential rental markets and an interest in the evolving BTR sector.
• Excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple developments and priorities.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach and a genuine focus on delivering an excellent customer experience.
