Associate & VP, Investment Banking - Energy/Oil & Gas - Goodman Masson - #2164387

A global investment bank with a track record of success in the Oil & Gas sector is expanding and recruiting a VP and an Associate in London.

This is a rare opportunity to join a franchise at an exciting stage of growth and play a key role in shaping its future. Working alongside senior leaders across their global platform, you will help expand the Energy Investment Banking business and work on high-profile transactions across EMEA and APAC.

Responsibilities and focus:

1. Actively support the Managing Directors and Directors on live mandates for key clients with a focus on ensuring strong execution as well as on origination efforts to deliver multi-product pitches and offerings.
2. Execute complex transactions with limited senior management oversight with respect to the day-to-day execution of the mandate.
3. Create and maintain effective presentations and pitching materials.
4. Lead the construction and audit of detailed Excel financial models including DCFs, LBOs and merger models and analysis such as market comparisons, company valuations and asset valuations.
5. Lead juniors in managing all workflow for origination or execution, including delegations of work appropriately to ensure completion of the work is efficient.

Skills and attributes:

1. You will possess excellent Investment Banking experience with robust experience in the Energy & Oil & Gas sector
2. MBA degree with finance specialty or Undergraduate degree with finance specialty (we are also looking for relevant industry experience where applicable).
3. Previous Upstream Energy Investment Banking experience is preferred.
4. Detailed financial valuation modelling experience (DCF, Merger and LBO) .
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Possess strong analytical, valuation and financial modelling capabilities, with experience supporting and executing complex Energy transactions
