The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join a high-profile public sector programme, supporting a performance and evaluation workstream.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining KPI tracking, baseline reporting and Power BI dashboards, helping stakeholders turn complex and sometimes incomplete data into clear, meaningful insight.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Data Analyst with strong Power BI experience who is comfortable working with legacy, incomplete or imperfect datasets and operating within a complex public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain KPI tracking and baseline reporting.
  • Develop and support Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
  • Analyse data from a range of sources to identify trends, issues and performance insights.
  • Work with incomplete, inconsistent or legacy data sources.
  • Support the wider performance and evaluation workstream with data analysis and reporting.
  • Translate complex data into clear and actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
  • Identify data quality issues and support improvements to data processes.
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting for senior stakeholders.
Essential Experience
  • Strong experience working as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • Strong Power BI skills, including dashboard development and reporting.
  • Experience analysing and interpreting data from multiple sources.
  • Comfortable working with incomplete, inconsistent or legacy datasets.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to turn complex data into clear business-focused insight.
  • Active SC Clearance is essential.
Desirable
  • Previous experience working with UK public sector data.
  • Experience working within government or other highly regulated environments.
  • Experience developing KPI frameworks and performance reporting.
  • Knowledge of data quality, governance and assurance.
  • Experience supporting programme performance or evaluation activity.
Contract Details
  • Contract: Until March 2027
  • Rate: £400-£495 per day
  • IR35: Inside IR35
  • Location: Central London
  • Working: 1-3 days per week onsite
  • Clearance: Active SC required
Please note: Candidates who do not currently hold active SC clearance may face significantly longer onboarding times due to clearance transfer requirements.

If you're an SC-cleared Data Analyst with strong Power BI experience and are comfortable working with complex public sector datasets, we'd be keen to hear from you.
