Housekeeper (Cleaner) – Serviced Apartments, West Kensington
About us
Arcadia Residences is a serviced apartment property in West Kensington, London, welcoming guests for short and longer stays. We're a small, close-knit team, and we keep communication open and easy. If you need something to make your work run more smoothly, just tell us.
The role
We're looking for an efficient, detail-oriented Housekeeper (Cleaner) to prepare our flats between guest stays. Standards matter a great deal to us: our aim is for every guest to walk into the cleanest flat possible. In return, we're committed to making your working environment as comfortable and straightforward as we can.
Most of the work is changeover cleaning of the flats, which usually happens between 11am and 3pm, after guests check out and before new guests arrive.
What you'll do
- Clean each flat thoroughly between stays: bedrooms, living areas, kitchens and bathrooms
- Strip used bed linen and towels and make up beds with fresh linen. Laundry is handled by an external service, so there's no washing or ironing
- Restock guest supplies such as toiletries and kitchen essentials. On busy days, our concierge team helps with this
- Take out rubbish from the flats, with help from the concierge when things are busy
- Report any maintenance issues, damage or missing items to the team
- Work to our cleaning checklists and standards so every flat is consistently guest-ready
- On quieter days, clean the building's communal areas, mainly the floors
- Occasionally help at our second site, a 15-minute walk away. This is always planned within your working day
What we're looking for
- Experience in housekeeping, hotel, holiday let or residential cleaning is preferred
- A sharp eye for detail and pride in your work
- Ability to work efficiently and manage your time across several flats in a day
- Reliability and a positive, friendly attitude
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility when last-minute changes or urgent situations come up, such as adjusting your schedule or taking on extra hours (paid) when you're able to. This is a plus, not a requirement
- Knowledge of safe use of cleaning products is a plus
Our most used languages in the team are English and Russian, knowledge of any one of them is a must.
What we offer
- Full-time hours, 5 days a week
- £14–£20 per hour (£28,000-35,000) depending on experience
- A supportive small team where your input is listened to
- Flexibility and willingness to accommodate your needs wherever we can
If you're efficient, take pride in high standards, and want to be part of a friendly team, we'd love to hear from you!
