At The Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales (ICAEW), you'll be part of an organisation that's shaping the future of business, finance and the accountancy profession on a global scale. Our bold 2030 Strategy puts members, innovation, sustainability and trust at the heart of everything we do; creating an exciting, forward looking environment where your work has real impact. We're looking for a Senior Client Relationship Executive to join our team in London on a permanent basis. This role offers a salary of £41,000 and a hybrid working pattern of 2 days in the office and 3 days from home each week.
What you will be doing;
- Lead end-to-end delivery and quality of assigned in-house and leadership programmes, owning complex, high-profile deliveries. Manage plans, timelines, budgets, risks and milestones, resolving issues independently and escalating material risks.
- Oversee programme budgets, costs and reporting, and own Academy financial tracking (P&L accuracy, cost control, margin visibility), working with the Finance Business Partner on monthly reporting and forecasting. Analyse performance and feedback to improve results.
- Build in-depth relationships with existing clients through delivery, understanding their needs and sector, and work with Business Development Managers on account plans to grow them into strategic partnerships.
- Recruit participants onto the Academy's leadership programmes, converting assigned leads through follow-up and sales meetings, maintaining an accurate pipeline and meeting recruitment and revenue targets. Hand wider opportunities to Business Development.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, participants and suppliers (trainers, coaches, facilitators), ensuring smooth sale-to-delivery handover, onboarding new suppliers and escalating complex issues.
- Work with colleagues across the Academy and ICAEW to improve content, processes and reporting using feedback and market insight, and promote Academy programmes at ICAEW events to generate leads. Support the Client Relationship Executive.
What you will need;
Experience
- Strong experience of delivering programmes, courses, events or training, managing multiple priorities, risks and stakeholders.
- Client, customer or participant relationship management experience (essential).
- Commercial experience influencing customer decisions, including sales meetings and converting prospects into bookings/revenue.
- Experience of budgets, costs and P&Ls with strong numerical accuracy. Desirable: growing client relationships into strategic partnerships; managing suppliers or trainers.
Skills and attributes
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with participants, clients, trainers and senior stakeholders.
- Strong planning, project management and analytical skills, and comfortable reporting on a sales pipeline using CRM or similar tools.
- Autonomous with sound judgement, knowing when to escalate; able to support less experienced colleagues without line management.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills, and able to work well under pressure.
What you can expect from us;
- A strong pension contribution from us of 9%
- Private medical cover with AXA (where eligible), alongside a healthcare cash plan
- Life assurance at 4x your salary
- 24 - 27 days' holiday depending on length of service, and the option to buy or sell extra days
- Hybrid working to help you find the right balance
- Everyday savings through gym discounts, travel loans, and retail perks
- Enhanced family leave, including up to 6 months on full pay
- Ongoing wellbeing support, including access to CABA
- A paid day each year to volunteer for a cause that matters to you
