The Role – Graduate Behaviour Mentor

Working within the school's intervention provision, you will provide structured academic, emotional and behavioural support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting emotional regulation, conflict resolution and restorative conversations.
  • Encouraging students to complete academic work outside mainstream lessons.
  • Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and pastoral leaders.
  • Supporting students with successful classroom reintegration.
  • Building positive relationships with students displaying challenging behaviour.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • A graduate with a 2:1 degree or above preferred, ideally in Psychology, Criminology, Sociology or Education.
  • A confident, resilient and emotionally intelligent individual.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A calm, consistent approach to behaviour management.
  • A genuine interest in SEMH, inclusion and supporting vulnerable young people.
  • Previous mentoring, youth work or SEN experience is desirable but not essential.

Why Apply Through KPI Education?

  • £26,000 – £30,000 salary equivalent or minimum £550 per week.
  • Full-time, long-term opportunity.
  • Valuable experience in behaviour intervention, SEMH and pastoral support.
  • Excellent preparation for Educational Psychology, Teaching or Youth Justice careers.
  • Work alongside experienced education and safeguarding professionals.
