DevOps Engineer – Azure / AWS | Cybersecurity & Cloud Infrastructure

Location: Remote (UK) | Optional London Office

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Level: Mid-Level (the client is open to training junior candidates) | Permanent, Full-Time

The Opportunity

We're working with an established, award-winning technology consultancy looking for a talented DevOps Engineer / Cloud Engineer to join their growing team.

With over 15 years of experience and multiple industry awards, the company delivers highly technical projects across healthcare, cybersecurity and critical national infrastructure.

This is an opportunity to work on some of the UK's most important national health technology systems, helping to build, secure and maintain the cloud infrastructure underpinning essential services.

You'll work in a technically challenging environment with genuine ownership of projects, exposure to complex cybersecurity requirements and excellent opportunities for career progression.

The role is fully remote within the UK, with a London office available for anyone who enjoys occasional face-to-face collaboration.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Designing, building and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructure, primarily using Microsoft Azure, with additional exposure to AWS.
  • Developing and improving CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery, testing and deployment.
  • Working on cybersecurity-focused projects, strengthening infrastructure security, resilience and reliability.
  • Supporting the deployment and operation of critical healthcare technology platforms.
  • Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and infrastructure automation.
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting and optimising cloud environments for performance, availability and security.
  • Collaborating with software engineers, security specialists and technical stakeholders.
  • Taking ownership of technical challenges and contributing to architectural and engineering decisions.
What We're Looking For
  • Commercial experience in a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Platform Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Some exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, automation and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates.
  • Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Bash or Python.
  • An interest in cybersecurity, secure cloud architecture and working on technically complex systems.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and an interest in taking ownership of projects.
Why Join?
  • Meaningful, high-impact projects: Work on critical national healthcare technology and infrastructure supporting essential services.
  • Cybersecurity exposure: Develop expertise in cloud security, secure infrastructure and complex security-focused engineering.
  • Established and award-winning: Join a respected technology consultancy with over 15 years of experience and multiple industry awards.
  • Genuine ownership: Take responsibility for technical solutions rather than being limited to repetitive maintenance tasks.
  • Career progression: Opportunities to develop technically, take on greater responsibility and progress towards senior engineering or architecture positions.
  • Varied technical challenges: Work across different cloud environments, technologies and projects.
  • Remote flexibility: Work remotely across the UK, with access to a London office whenever you'd like to visit.
Interested?

If you're a mid-level DevOps Engineer with strong Azure experience, some AWS knowledge and an interest in cybersecurity, we'd love to hear from you.

This is an opportunity to combine challenging cloud engineering work with projects that have a genuine impact on nationally important technology systems.
