A well-established and highly respected hedge fund platform is looking to hire an Investor Relations Associate to support its growing client coverage efforts across Southern Europe, with a particular focus on Italy, Spain and France.

Working directly alongside the Head of Sales for the region, this individual will play a key role in servicing existing investor relationships, supporting fundraising initiatives, coordinating client communications, and helping drive business development activities. The position offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and provides a clear path towards becoming increasingly client-facing over time. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to develop a career within investor relations and capital raising in the alternatives industry.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Head of Sales in covering institutional and intermediary clients across Southern Europe.
  • Assist with investor servicing, relationship management, and ongoing client communications.
  • Support fundraising and business development initiatives, including meeting preparation, follow-up and pipeline management.
  • Coordinate responses to investor requests, due diligence questionnaires, and ad hoc information requests.
  • Prepare marketing materials, presentations and investor reporting content.
  • Maintain CRM records and support broader sales and investor relations processes.
  • Work collaboratively with investment, product, operations and marketing teams to ensure a high standard of client service.
  • Over time, take on increasing responsibility for direct client interaction and relationship management.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience within investor relations, sales support, client services, fundraising, business development or a related function within asset management, alternatives, private markets or financial services.
  • Strong interest in hedge funds and alternative investments.
  • Fluent English required.
  • Italian and/or Spanish language skills are highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commercial mindset with a willingness to learn and develop into a client-facing role.
  • Adaptable, proactive and eager to build a long-term career within investor relations.

Candidate Profile

The firm is open to candidates from a variety of investment strategy backgrounds and does not require prior hedge fund experience. Individuals coming from traditional asset management, private markets, long-only investments or other alternative investment sectors will be considered, provided they demonstrate strong client orientation, intellectual curiosity and the desire to learn.
