Risk Officer, Power & Gas - Selby Jennings - #2165899

A leading hedge fund is seeking a Power & Gas Risk Officer to join its Front Office Risk team in London.

Working directly alongside Portfolio Managers and Traders, this role offers the opportunity to provide real-time risk oversight, with a particular focus on Power & Gas markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyse Power & Gas trading exposures.
• Partner directly with Traders and Portfolio Managers on risk-related matters.
• Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis and exposure reporting.
• Challenge positions and trading activity where appropriate.
• Assess market developments and their impact on portfolio risk.
• Support the ongoing development of risk frameworks, controls and reporting.

Requirements:

• Experience within Market Risk, Trading Risk or Commodities Risk.
• Strong understanding of Power & Gas markets and associated risk drivers.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced Front Office environment.
• Strong analytical skills and stakeholder management capability.
