Financial Controller - Dutch Entity - #2166488

6-Month Contract | Day Rate | London / Hybrid

I am currently partnering with a leading global FMCG business to recruit an experienced Interim Financial Controller for an initial 6-month day-rate assignment.

This is a hands-on opportunity to take ownership of financial control, reporting and compliance for the Dutch entity.

The successful candidate will partner closely with local and Group stakeholders, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust controls and an efficient month-end close.

• Take full ownership of financial control and reporting for the Dutch entity.

• Lead the month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely reporting against tight deadlines.

• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining strong financial controls and reporting standards.

• Ensure compliance with Dutch accounting standards, statutory reporting and local regulatory requirements.

• Partner closely with FP&A, Payroll, HR and wider Finance teams.

• Support Group consolidation and reporting, providing clear financial insight into market performance.

• Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiencies.

• Act as the key finance contact for the Dutch market throughout the assignment.

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified accountant.

• Previous hands-on experience managing the finances of a Dutch entity is essential.

• Solid understanding of Dutch statutory reporting, local accounting requirements and financial compliance.

• Experience within FMCG, retail or consumer goods environments would be highly advantageous.

• Proven experience managing month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and Group reporting.

• Comfortable operating within a complex, international or multi-entity finance structure.

• Dutch language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.

• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to hit the ground running and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
