Vendor Master Data Specialist | 3-month (inside IR35) contract | Hybrid, Central London-based

I'm currently partnering with a fast-growing technology business, that is undergoing significant finance transformation, with a focus on process automation and improving data quality.

They are looking for a Vendor Master Data Specialist to support a large-scale data cleansing project across their supplier database.

With approximately 2,000 vendors on their system, 1,300 of which have been uploaded with incomplete information, this individual will play a key role in ensuring supplier records are accurate, complete and fit for purpose.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the clean-up and validation of vendor master data across approximately 2,000 supplier records.

• Proactively contact vendors via outbound calls and emails to obtain missing information.

• Review, verify and update supplier records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Identify and resolve data discrepancies, inconsistencies and duplicate records.

• Support the wider finance team's process automation and data improvement initiatives.

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in vendor master data, accounts payable, finance operations or data cleansing.

• Excellent communication skills - someone confident picking up the phone, chasing information and building rapport with suppliers.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach.

• A proactive, hands-on individual who can work independently and manage a high volume of supplier records.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving scale-up environment.
