About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive CAD Support Officer to join a busy Credit Administration team within a financial services environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in credit administration, lending operations or credit documentation to play a key role in supporting the full credit administration lifecycle, from post-approval through to post-completion.

You will work closely with internal teams, including Credit, Business, Operations and Remedial, as well as external solicitors and valuers, ensuring lending facilities are administered efficiently, documentation is completed accurately, and all processes comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

The lending portfolio primarily comprises residential and commercial real estate finance, alongside SME working capital, trade finance and Islamic finance facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Administration - Post-Approval

  • Obtain fee quotations from panel solicitors for lease reviews, consents, discharges, releases and other legal requirements.
  • Coordinate solicitor appointments in collaboration with business teams and clients.
  • Liaise with solicitors and valuers to monitor progress, resolve issues and ensure matters are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed of progress and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of lending limits, review and expiry dates, insurance, collateral, cash liens and credit ratings across relevant systems and databases.

Post-Completion Administration

  • Conduct post-completion file reviews to ensure all required documentation is in place.
  • Monitor the registration of security documents within required timeframes, including registrations with Companies House.
  • Follow up with solicitors to ensure security documents are properly completed and perfected, and original signed documentation is returned.
  • Track and report on outstanding conditions subsequent.
  • Review insurance policies and update internal systems and records accordingly.
  • Process loan redemption requests and manage revaluations.
  • Update interest rates and maintain accurate filing systems, trackers and databases.

Reporting, Audit and Process Improvement

  • Prepare key risk indicator (KRI) reports and limit expiry reports.
  • Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation when required.
  • Participate in projects, system enhancements and user acceptance testing relating to credit administration.
  • Ensure all activities comply with internal policies, procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
About You

We are looking for an organised, commercially aware individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Essential experience and skills:

  • Previous experience in credit administration or a similar lending operations role.
  • Experience supporting Buy-to-Let lending, covering residential and commercial property, and/or trade finance and working capital facilities.
  • Practical knowledge of credit documentation, security perfection, valuations and collateral management.
  • Good understanding of relevant lending processes, risk controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with stakeholders across different business areas.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Islamic finance products, including Commodity Murabaha and Diminishing Musharaka.
  • Experience working with solicitors, valuers and other external professional advisers.
  • Experience contributing to audit processes, reporting and operational improvements.
Personal Attributes
  • A proactive team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Highly organised, accurate and detail-focused.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing time-sensitive tasks.
  • Confident in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexible, adaptable and solutions-focused.
  • Professional, reliable and committed to maintaining high standards of service and compliance.
Salary and Working Arrangements
  • Salary: £40,000 per annum.
  • Location: Moorgate, London.
  • Working arrangement: Fully office-based.

If you have relevant credit administration experience and are looking for an opportunity to develop your career within a lending and financial services environment, we would welcome your application.
