Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain Java-based microservices
Build and enhance APIs supporting cards, payments and digital banking journeys
Develop cloud-native applications within AWS
Work across integrations with TSYS, core banking systems and third-party payment providers
Support delivery of major mobile application releases
Contribute to engineering best practices, CI/CD and automation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve customer experience and platform performance

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong commercial experience with Java
Proven experience building microservices architectures
Strong API development and integration experience
Experience working within AWS cloud environments
Background in financial services, retail banking, payments or cards
Experience delivering customer-facing digital products
Knowledge of modern software engineering practices, testing and DevOps

Desirable Experience

Payments, cards or acquiring platforms
Click to Pay implementations
Apple Pay integrations
TSYS exposure
Core banking platform integration experience
Mobile banking or digital channel delivery experience
