We are working with a leading global financial institution to recruit an Assistant Vice President - Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Change & Governance for their London office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced risk management professional to step into a key role, shaping and maintaining the TPRM framework while ensuring compliance with evolving regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

This position offers exposure to senior stakeholders, cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to influence critical risk management strategies within a highly respected organisation.

The Role

As part of the Business-Critical Services function, you will play a central role in developing and enhancing the Third-Party Risk Management framework. You will work closely with teams across the organisation, including Operational Risk, Enterprise Risk, and Resiliency functions, to ensure robust governance and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance the Third-Party Risk Management framework to meet regulatory requirements across UK, EU, US, and APAC regions.
  • Support reporting processes, including Key Indicator metrics, Risk Appetite metrics, Committee decks, Board submissions, and ad-hoc requests.
  • Manage governance processes such as Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), control testing, and issue tracking.
  • Develop meaningful metrics to monitor supplier risks effectively.
  • Draft and maintain policies and standards that guide third-party risk management across the organisation.
  • Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging risks or new regulations and embed these into the TPRM framework proactively.
  • Lead or support projects related to TPRM improvements or changes by collaborating with Procurement & Vendor Management teams or subject matter experts.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by providing guidance on best practices in third-party risk management.
  • Communicate TPRM knowledge effectively across the business to build a centre of expertise.
What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Significant experience in third-party risk management within financial services or another regulated industry.
  • A strong understanding of TPRM frameworks and practical application within complex organisations.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations (e.g., PRA SS2/21, EBA/DORA) and the ability to translate these into actionable plans.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience managing governance processes and developing policies or frameworks.
  • An analytical mindset paired with creativity when solving problems or improving processes.
  • Project management skills are desirable but not essential.
