The Opportunity

We are partnering with an international music merchandise business to recruit an Indirect Tax Manager to oversee VAT and indirect tax compliance across multiple global markets.

This is a key role within a growing international business, with a strong focus on cross-border transactions, global supply chains and multi-jurisdictional tax compliance. You will work closely with finance and commercial teams worldwide, managing tax risk and ensuring the business remains compliant as its international operations continue to expand.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead indirect tax compliance across the UK, Europe and wider international markets.
• Oversee VAT returns, registrations, reconciliations and reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage the indirect tax implications of international sales, e-commerce, touring merchandise, imports and exports.
• Advise on cross-border transactions, global supply chains and international trading arrangements.
• Monitor changes in international VAT legislation and assess their impact on the business.
• Manage relationships with overseas tax advisers, auditors and tax authorities.
• Support tax audits, enquiries and risk management initiatives across multiple territories.
• Review and improve tax processes, systems and controls to support international growth.
• Partner with finance and commercial stakeholders to provide practical tax advice and ensure compliance across the global business.

About You

• Significant experience in indirect tax, with strong international VAT experience essential.
• Proven track record managing VAT compliance across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK and European VAT, alongside experience navigating wider international tax requirements.
• Experience with cross-border transactions, international supply chains and multi-territory trading operations.
• Confident managing overseas advisers and working with stakeholders across different markets.
• Experience within music, entertainment, merchandise, retail or e-commerce would be advantageous.
• CTA, ATT or equivalent tax qualification preferred, although relevant experience will also be considered.
• Commercially minded, analytical and confident operating in a fast-paced international environment.

Salary: £85,000
