Tiger Recruitment
We are recruiting on behalf of a private family in County Cork for an experienced live-in Housekeeper to join their household team. Our client is looking for someone who takes real pride in presentation and detail, and who works discreetly and thoughtfully to keep the home running beautifully every day.

You will be responsible for maintaining the family’s residence to the highest standard, with a focus on cleanliness, order and comfort. You will work closely with the wider household team and report to the Estate or House Manager. Comfortable, private accommodation is provided on the property. From time to time you will travel with the family, so flexibility is important.

Key responsibilities
  • Maintain the residence to impeccable standards, including daily housekeeping, deep cleaning and seasonal tasks
  • Care for fine furnishings, art, antiques and delicate materials using the appropriate methods and products
  • Manage the laundry, ironing and care of the family’s wardrobe, linens and soft furnishings
  • Prepare bedrooms and guest accommodation, including turndown service, flowers and finishing touches
  • Monitor and order household supplies, and manage stock levels and budgets
  • Liaise with contractors, cleaners and suppliers as needed
  • Support the family and their guests with events and entertaining at home
  • Travel with the family occasionally and maintain other properties to the same standard
The ideal candidate
  • Proven housekeeping experience in a private household, five-star hotel or on a luxury yacht (private household experience is ideal)
  • Excellent knowledge of fabric, surface and fine-furnishing care, and of laundry and garment care
  • A meticulous eye for detail and the ability to work calmly and independently
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Complete discretion and respect for confidentiality, which is essential in this role
  • Warm, professional and adaptable, with a genuine team spirit
  • Happy to live on site and to be flexible with working patterns, including some evenings and weekends when the family is entertaining
  • Willing to travel occasionally, with a valid passport and the right to work in Ireland
  • Fluent English; a full driving licence is an advantage
Only candidates with a valid right to work in Ireland can be considered for the role.
