London | Assistant Manager / Manager | Deal Advisory Tax

I'm currently working with a leading Deal Advisory Tax team in London that is looking to hire at both Assistant Manager and Manager level.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build their career within transactions, working across the Energy and Infrastructure market on high-profile UK and international deals.

The team advises corporate and financial investors across the full deal lifecycle, working on transactions ranging from £10m to more than £10bn. The client base includes infrastructure and renewable energy investors, energy transition businesses, private equity and institutional investors.

For someone ambitious, this is an opportunity to get close to transactions and clients from an early stage. You'll work alongside Partners and Directors on complex deals, build relationships with clients and other advisers, and become involved in pitches and new business opportunities.

You'll work across a broad range of transaction tax matters, including:

• Buy-side tax due diligence
• Tax structuring
• Vendor assistance and vendor due diligence
• Refinancing
• Transaction and listing support
• UK and international tax advisory
• Reviewing financial models from a tax perspective
• Identifying tax risks and explaining their commercial impact
• Working alongside legal advisers and other transaction specialists
• Supporting pitches and business development

The work is highly collaborative, often involving international tax teams and specialists across multiple jurisdictions and tax areas.

We're particularly interested in speaking with people from:

• Deal Advisory / Transaction Tax
• Corporate Tax
• Broader M&A or transaction-focused tax backgrounds

You don't necessarily need to have spent your entire career specialising in Energy & Infrastructure. Strong UK corporate tax knowledge, commercial awareness and a genuine interest in transactions are key.

Relevant qualifications could include CTA, ACA/CA/ legal qualification or equivalent overseas qualifications.

High-quality deal exposure: Work across transactions ranging from £10m to £10bn+, providing exposure to businesses and investors of very different sizes.

Energy & Infrastructure specialism: Develop your experience across infrastructure, renewable energy, energy transition and the wider investment market.

Full deal lifecycle: The team advises across due diligence, structuring, vendor work, refinancing and other transaction-related projects, rather than focusing on one part of the deal process.

Direct client exposure: You'll build relationships with clients, legal advisers and other stakeholders and become a key point of contact as you progress.

International exposure: Transactions regularly involve multiple jurisdictions, giving you the opportunity to work with tax specialists across different countries.

Commercial development: Alongside the technical work, you'll have opportunities to support proposals, pitches and the pursuit of new transactions.

Assistant Manager and Manager opportunities: There is flexibility on level depending on experience, making this relevant both for people looking to establish themselves within transaction tax and experienced Managers looking for their next step.
