Senior Finance Manager - #2173265

HFG are working with a well-established Lloyd's market business seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join its finance function on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a senior role within a Lloyd's insurance business, providing technical leadership across financial reporting, Lloyd's and regulatory reporting, financial planning and finance transformation. Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring continuity across critical finance activities while supporting a period of leadership transition.

This is a varied senior finance role offering the opportunity to make an immediate impact within an established Lloyd's market finance team. You will take ownership of important reporting and control processes, contribute to finance improvement initiatives and help maintain the smooth running of the function during a period of transition.

Key deliverables

You will take ownership of key financial and regulatory reporting obligations, support the annual planning cycle and drive improvements across finance processes, controls and reporting. The role offers exposure to senior stakeholders, Board and Committee reporting, and the wider Lloyd's regulatory environment.

• Leading the preparation and delivery of management, Board and Committee reporting.
• Overseeing Lloyd's, PRA, FCA, statutory and Solvency UK reporting requirements.
• Coordinating reporting timetables, reviewing outputs and ensuring accurate, timely delivery.
• Supporting external audits, managing audit queries and maintaining robust financial controls.
• Leading elements of the annual budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes.
• Producing financial analysis and investigating performance against plan.
• Supporting capital and liquidity planning activities.
• Driving finance transformation, process improvement, automation and data quality initiatives.
• Managing knowledge transfer, documenting key processes and ensuring continuity across the finance function.
• Acting as a key finance contact for senior stakeholders, auditors and relevant external parties.

We are looking for a technically strong finance professional with a background in insurance and a solid understanding of the Lloyd's market.

• A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Strong financial reporting and technical accounting experience within the insurance sector.
• Practical experience of Lloyd's reporting and the associated regulatory framework.
• Knowledge of PRA, FCA and Solvency UK reporting requirements.
• Experience of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and management reporting.
• The ability to lead reporting processes, manage competing deadlines and maintain high standards of financial control.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage with senior finance leaders.
