We are working with a large, international organisation to recruit a qualified accountant into a varied, high-visibility finance role supporting senior leadership and a diverse portfolio of business activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, commercially minded accountant who wants to broaden their experience, work on complex business projects and develop their skills in an environment where technology, AI and process improvement are becoming increasingly important.
Rather than being confined to a narrow finance function, you will gain exposure to a broad range of financial, analytical and strategic projects, working closely with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced executive environment.
The OpportunityJoining a small London-based team, you will contribute to core finance activities while supporting a variety of business-critical projects, including financial analysis, restructuring and process improvement.
The organisation is looking for someone with strong accounting foundations, a proactive attitude and the potential to develop. You do not need to have extensive post-qualification experience; attitude, adaptability, intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn are just as important.
You will have the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility, work across different areas of the business and build your experience in a role that combines technical finance with wider commercial exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and finalisation of accounts, ensuring accuracy and appropriate financial reporting.
- Assist with balance sheet reviews, reconciliations and month-end processes.
- Contribute to financial analysis, benchmarking and data-driven business insights.
- Support restructuring initiatives and other business-critical finance projects.
- Assist with HMRC-related requirements, documentation and sign-off processes.
- Work across a varied portfolio of projects, adapting to changing business priorities.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of financial models, where required.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency and enhance reporting.
- Explore the practical application of AI, automation and technology within finance.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders, providing reliable financial information and analytical support to inform decision-making.
We are keen to speak with candidates who are recently qualified and looking to build a broad, commercially relevant finance career.
You will ideally have:
- A UK-recognised accountancy qualification, such as ACCA or ACA/CA.
- Approximately 0-2 years of post-qualification experience.
- A strong grounding in financial accounting and reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills and confidence working with financial data.
- An interest in financial modelling, technology, AI and automation.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- A flexible, hands-on approach and the confidence to work across different projects.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to operate professionally in a senior executive environment.
- A genuine appetite to learn, develop and take on new challenges.
You will be curious, motivated and comfortable working in an evolving environment where priorities can change. Most importantly, you will be keen to contribute, ask questions and develop your capabilities rather than simply perform a routine finance role.
