Your new company
Your new company is a well-established London Market insurance organisation with a significant presence across the specialty and Lloyd's insurance market. As part of the continued development of its reinsurance operations, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Reinsurance Technician to join its London team.

You will join a collaborative technical function working closely with Claims, Underwriting, Finance and Actuarial teams, with exposure to a broad range of outwards reinsurance arrangements.

Your new role
As a Senior Reinsurance Technician, you will take ownership of the technical administration and recovery of outwards reinsurance across a varied portfolio.

You will manage reinsurance activity from contract set-up through to the collection of recoveries, acting as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, brokers and reinsurers. This will include managing the calculation, processing and collection of reinsurance recoveries, reviewing contracts and associated documentation and overseeing outstanding balances and credit control activity.

You will work closely with Claims, Underwriting, Finance and Actuarial teams, particularly around month-end and quarter-end processes. You will also produce and analyse MI relating to reinsurance programmes, claims and recoveries, monitor reinsurer security information and ensure technical data and reporting meet internal quality standards.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced reinsurance professional with a strong technical understanding of outwards reinsurance within the London Insurance Market.

You will have experience managing outwards reinsurance recoveries across a range of contract structures and classes of business, alongside a good understanding of the end-to-end reinsurance process from contract set-up through to collection.

You will also have strong analytical and numerical skills, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to work with a range of senior internal and external stakeholders. Experience using reinsurance processing systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills will also be important.
