Structured ETF Product Specialist - Global Asset Manager, London - #2175774

Octavius Finance is working with a leading global investment manager to appoint an ETF Product Specialist to support the growth of its European business.

The firm offers a range of investment solutions across thematic, active, factor-based and options-based strategies. Its specialist ETF offering includes innovative products designed to deliver defined investment outcomes and generate income through options-based investment strategies.

This is an opportunity to join a growing international team in a specialist role combining investment strategy, product expertise and client engagement. Working closely with senior sales professionals, the successful candidate will help communicate complex investment strategies, develop investment content and support distribution across Europe and selected international markets.

The position is focused on product expertise and investment communication rather than direct sales or revenue generation. The successful candidate will act as a subject-matter expert, representing the investment strategy and helping professional investors understand the mechanics, potential applications and risks of specialist ETF solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Product Expertise: Develop a thorough understanding of the firm's options-based ETF range, including defined-outcome, income-generating and structured-payoff strategies.
2. Investment Strategy: Represent the investment rationale behind the products, communicating their construction, objectives, potential outcomes and associated risks.
3. Sales Support: Work alongside the sales team to support client meetings, distribution initiatives and product education across professional intermediary channels.
4. Research & Content: Produce thought leadership, investment commentary, short research pieces and case studies that make complex investment strategies accessible to clients.
5. Client Presentations: Deliver presentations and educational sessions to professional investors, wealth managers, private banks, financial advisers and other distribution partners.
6. Market Intelligence: Monitor developments across ETFs, options markets and structured products, identifying relevant trends and opportunities to strengthen product positioning.
7. International Coverage: Travel regularly across Europe and selected international markets to support client meetings, sales events and educational initiatives.

Role Requirements

The firm is seeking an investment professional with experience in options and structured products , combined with the ability to communicate complex investment concepts clearly and confidently.

1. ~5–10 years' relevant experience in structured products, equity derivatives, investment strategy, ETF product specialism, structured product specialism or a related investment-facing role.
2. Candidates MUST have experience with options-based payoffs, derivatives-led investment strategies and structured investment solutions.
3. Experience presenting investment ideas and explaining complex financial concepts to professional or institutional audiences.
4. The ability to produce investment content, market commentary, thought leadership and practical case studies.
5. Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts without losing investment nuance.
6. A collaborative approach to supporting sales teams, with the confidence to represent investment strategies in front of clients.
7. A genuine interest in options, product innovation and the evolution of the ETF market.
