FIG Investment Banking Director London - Selby Jennings - #2175806

Our client is seeking a Director to join its London Financial Institutions Group (FIG), with a particular focus on Insurance. The successful candidate will advise insurance carriers, brokers, MGAs, insurtechs, and broader financial services businesses on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, strategic advisory assignments, and capital raising opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the origination and execution of M&A and strategic advisory mandates within the Insurance sector.
• Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with insurance companies, brokers, investors, and other industry participants.
• Oversee financial analysis, valuation work, transaction materials, and all key execution workstreams.
• Drive business development initiatives, identify new opportunities, and contribute to sector coverage efforts across the UK and Europe.
• Mentor, manage, and develop junior bankers while helping shape the growth of the Insurance franchise.

Requirements

• Proven investment banking, M&A advisory, or corporate finance experience, with significant exposure to the Insurance sector.
• Demonstrated track record of transaction execution and client relationship management at senior levels.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
• Established network within the Insurance ecosystem, including carriers, brokers, MGAs, private equity investors, and other key market participants.
• Commercially minded, entrepreneurial, and highly motivated, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
