Hub Caseworker – Rough Sleeper Service

Canning Town, Newham (E16)

£20 – £24 per hour

Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Archer Resourcing is recruiting an experienced Hub Caseworker for a leading national charity’s integrated rough sleeper service in Newham. You’ll be part of a team running an accommodation hub for people sleeping rough across North East London. Your focus will be getting clients off the streets and into sustainable move-on accommodation within 28 days.

The role

• Process referrals from Street Outreach Teams across North East London boroughs, and complete admissions, assessments and casework
• Build personalised move-on plans, working towards a 28-day target to resolve homelessness
• Work with housing providers to secure timely move-on outcomes
• Link clients into drug and alcohol services, mental health care and physical healthcare
• Attend case conferences and client appointments across Newham and wider London
• Share information and carry through action plans with partner agencies
• Support SWEP (Severe Weather Emergency Protocol) responses so that everyone sleeping rough is offered emergency shelter
• Keep accurate, confidential case records in line with service and local authority requirements
• Help keep the hub safe, welcoming and well run, including hands-on support with day-to-day hub tasks

What we’re looking for

• Experience in homelessness, rough sleeping, supported housing, outreach or substance misuse services
• Confident casework and assessment skills, with a solid understanding of housing pathways and move-on options
• Ability to engage hard-to-reach clients with complex needs
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and multi-agency working
• A flexible, hands-on approach suited to a busy accommodation setting
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service. This is essential.
