An exciting opportunity has become available for a Full Stack Engineer to join a leading technology consultancy, supporting the delivery of innovative digital solutions across the Defence & Security sector.

This role offers the opportunity to work on complex public sector programmes, developing secure and scalable web applications that support critical government requirements. You'll contribute across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality software while ensuring security, reliability and performance remain at the forefront of every solution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and deploy secure, scalable web applications to support complex public sector projects

• Build responsive and accessible user interfaces using modern front-end technologies and frameworks

• Develop and maintain robust server-side applications and business logic

• Create and support RESTful APIs to enable effective communication between systems

• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, supporting effective data modelling and management

• Apply secure development practices and help identify, assess and resolve software vulnerabilities

• Collaborate with project managers, designers and technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective software solutions

• Contribute to code reviews, testing, documentation and continuous improvement throughout the development lifecycle

What We're Looking For:

• Strong experience in full-stack software development, with practical front-end and back-end engineering skills

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with experience using frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.js

• Back-end development experience using technologies such as Node.js, Python or Java

• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, including data modelling

• Understanding of REST API development, integration and technical documentation

• Knowledge of secure coding practices, application security and vulnerability management

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams

• A collaborative and adaptable approach, with the confidence to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
