The Role:

The Product Governance Manager / Consumer Duty Manager will be Product Governance Lead playing a key role in ensuring the Wealth Management firm's products and services consistently deliver good customer outcomes and meet regulatory obligations under the FCA Consumer Duty and Product Governance frameworks.

The Product Governance Manager / Consumer Duty Manager will be responsible for product reviews, Consumer Duty and Fair Value Assessments, management information, and product governance oversight across the UK Wealth Management business.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong stakeholder engagement with Executive Management, Compliance, Risk, Distribution, Product Teams and Wealth Management functions.

Be champion for Client Outcomes, regularly monitoring and enhancing the Consumer Duty framework and producing Consumer Duty Management Information and Board reporting.

Focus on good Client Outcomes, across products and services, price and value, Consumer understanding and support.

Identify emerging customer risks, foreseeable harms and adverse outcome trends, and coordinate remediation actions where outcomes fall below expected standards.

The Product Governance Manager & Consumer Duty Manager will be responsible for the Wealth Management firm's Product Governance Framework. Coordinate annual and ad-hoc product reviews and ensure Products are aligned to Client objectives and needs.

Take responsibility to review Product inventories and review schedules and manage Product Governance agendas, papers and actions.

The Product Governance Manager & Consumer Duty Manager will lead the annual Fair Value Assessments across all Wealth Management products and services and present findings and recommendations to senior governance forums.

This role will act as the key liaison between the Performance Risk team and front office stakeholders to investigate, challenge and resolve identified portfolio outliers. Maintain records of investigations, decisions and exception approvals to support governance and audit requirements. Identify recurring themes, control weaknesses and process improvements.

Develop and maintain Consumer Duty and Product Governance dashboards. Produce MI for Board, Executive Committee, Management Committees and Compliance Committee, that relate to Client Outcomes, Risk & Product Performance.

The Candidate:

3-5 years working knowledge of FCA Consumer Duty, product governance, fair value assessment and customer outcomes requirements within a wealth management environment.

Experience of product reviews, governance papers, Board / ExCo reporting, MI development and evidence-based outcome monitoring.

Good understanding of investment products, discretionary portfolio management, advisory and/or execution-only services, including pricing, charging structures and target market considerations.

Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret performance, conduct, complaints, value and customer outcome data and draw clear, commercially balanced conclusions
