Insure Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded specialist insurance broking group, known for handling complex and high-stakes risks that others tend to avoid. Due to continued growth, their Trade Credit team is looking for a commercially driven Business Development Executive to win new clients and expand their portfolio.

This is a nationwide role with genuine flexibility on location for the right person, and a chance to join a passionate, specialist team that values strong market relationships.

Open to candidates from outside insurance

Our client welcomes applications from proven new business professionals already in the insurance market, as well as sales-focused people from trade credit or closely related areas such as finance, banking, credit risk or wider commercial sales

What you’ll be doing

• Building your own pipeline of trade credit insurance opportunities
• Managing the full sales cycle, from first conversation through to onboarding
• Getting to know clients’ industries and risks so solutions are properly tailored
• Presenting the business’s proposition and negotiating with insurers
• Keeping up with market trends and spotting new opportunities for growth

What you’ll bring

• A proven track record in new business development (essential)
• If you’re new to trade credit, a real commitment to learning a new line of business
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills
• Ambition, drive and the flexibility to hit targets
• A customer-focused, strategic mindset
• A willingness to share knowledge and support the wider team
• An understanding of FCA regulation and compliance
