Quantity Surveyor - #2178850

A specialist London cost consultancy is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support a growing portfolio of Commercial and Office Fit-Out projects across the capital. The successful Quantity Surveyor will work on high-spec workplace refurbishments, CAT A and CAT B fit-outs, and commercial repositioning schemes for occupiers, landlords and investors.

The Quantity Surveyor's Role

The Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for projects from initial budgeting and cost planning through tendering, construction and final account.

Working closely with clients, designers, project managers and contractors, the Quantity Surveyor will provide accurate commercial advice in a fast-moving fit-out environment where programme, quality and cost control are critical.

The role would suit a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys the pace of commercial interiors and wants greater responsibility for their own commissions. The Quantity Surveyor will have regular client contact, manage key commercial decisions and continue developing towards Senior Quantity Surveyor level.

The Quantity Surveyor

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
• Strong UK consultancy / PQS experience
• Commercial or office fit-out experience
• Good pre- and post-contract knowledge
• Experience with CAT A / CAT B projects
• Confident with cost plans and tenders
• Able to manage valuations and variations
• Good knowledge of JCT contracts
• Strong client-facing communication
• Commercially aware and detail focused
• MRICS or working towards chartership
