My client is looking for an experienced AWS Python Developer to support and enhance a live, business-critical platform. This is a hands-on development and production support role, focused on delivering new features, resolving complex issues and improving platform stability.

Key requirements:

• Active Security Clearance (SC)
• Strong Python development experience
• Hands-on experience using boto3 and AWS SDKs
• Strong experience with AWS Lambda, EC2, S3, SQS, DynamoDB and CloudWatch
• Experience developing and supporting event-driven and serverless architectures
• Experience with AWS Batch and API Gateway
• Strong production support and troubleshooting experience across multiple services and integrations
• Ability to analyse existing code and deliver maintainable, low-risk changes
• Experience creating automated tests using pytest, moto or similar tools
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and operational support procedures

Nice to have:

• Experience with large-scale ETL pipeline platforms
• Understanding of the application, infrastructure and operational aspects of live services
• Experience contributing to technical designs and agreeing pragmatic implementation approaches
• Experience improving platform performance, maintainability and operational stability
• Experience with GitHub Copilot and agentic workflows
