We're partnering with a large-scale organisation undertaking a significant digital transformation programme spanning multiple business-critical platforms, cloud technologies, and Agile delivery teams. As the programme enters its next phase, we're looking for an experienced Solution Architect to define and drive the end-to-end architecture across a complex technology landscape.

The Opportunity As the Solution Architect, you'll act as the architectural lead across several Agile teams, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to wider enterprise strategy. You'll work closely with business leaders, engineering teams, delivery managers, and enterprise architecture functions to translate complex business requirements into practical technology solutions.

The environment combines modern cloud-native technologies, enterprise applications, low-code platforms, and integration services, offering a varied and challenging architecture landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end solution architecture across multiple workstreams and delivery teams.
• Define target state architectures, solution roadmaps, and transition strategies.
• Lead architecture discussions within Agile delivery environments and contribute to programme planning activities.
• Ensure consistency across teams while managing dependencies, integration points, and technical risks.
• Represent solution design within governance, architecture review, and stakeholder forums.
• Produce high-quality architectural artefacts including solution designs, decision records, integration diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Drive best practices around cloud architecture, security, resilience, scalability, and operational supportability.
• Define integration approaches across enterprise applications, APIs, event-driven services, and third-party platforms.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to align technology solutions with strategic business objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to architects, engineers, and development teams.

• Extensive experience working as a Solution Architect within complex enterprise environments.
• Proven track record delivering architecture across large transformation programmes involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and modern cloud architecture principles.
• Experience designing solutions involving Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, or broader Microsoft business applications.
• Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, integration architecture, and cloud-native design patterns.
• Experience operating within Agile or scaled Agile delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to present architectural decisions at senior levels.
• Knowledge of security, data governance, resilience, and non-functional architecture requirements.

• TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification.
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) certification.
• Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600).
• Experience with architecture modelling tools such as ArchiMate, Sparx EA, or LeanIX.
• Exposure to enterprise modernisation, cloud migration, or legacy transformation programmes.
