Location: London / UK Remote Working

Sector: Capital Markets Technology / Enterprise SaaS / FinTech

Your Network. Your Market. Your Opportunity to Drive Growth.

J&J Search is partnering with an ambitious, international Capital Markets technology provider seeking an accomplished Sales Director – UK to accelerate new client acquisition and drive significant revenue growth across the UK institutional financial services market.

This is an opportunity for a commercially driven, well-connected enterprise sales professional who understands the Capital Markets technology landscape, has established relationships with senior decision-makers, and knows how to turn those relationships into substantial new business opportunities.

We're particularly interested in candidates who have worked for established Capital Markets software, SaaS or post-trade technology providers, such as Duco, Torstone, Broadridge or similar organisations.

Your existing network of contacts will be a key differentiator. We're looking for someone who can open doors, initiate meaningful conversations with prospective clients and convert opportunities into long-term, high-value commercial partnerships.

The Opportunity

As Sales Director – UK, you'll take ownership of new business development across the UK Capital Markets sector, targeting institutional clients including investment banks, brokers, clearing firms, custodians, asset managers and other financial institutions.

You'll be responsible for identifying, developing and closing enterprise software opportunities, while contributing to the wider UK sales strategy and supporting expansion within existing client accounts.

This is a senior, externally focused role offering considerable autonomy, commercial responsibility and the opportunity to make a measurable impact on the company's UK growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • New Business Acquisition: Identify, engage and secure new institutional clients across the UK Capital Markets ecosystem.
  • Leverage Your Network: Utilise established relationships with senior decision-makers across banks, brokers, clearing participants, custodians and asset managers to generate new business opportunities.
  • Enterprise Sales: Own the complete sales lifecycle, from initial engagement and solution positioning through to commercial negotiations and contract closure.
  • Strategic Relationship Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives, technology leaders, operations heads and other key decision-makers.
  • Revenue Growth: Deliver new customer revenue targets while identifying opportunities for additional revenue within existing accounts.
  • Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a robust, qualified sales pipeline, providing accurate forecasting and commercial reporting.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity, market developments and client requirements to identify opportunities and support product positioning.
  • UK Sales Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of the UK commercial growth strategy.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent the business at relevant Capital Markets conferences, networking events and industry forums.
About You

We're looking for a proven enterprise software sales professional who brings a combination of Capital Markets expertise, an established industry network and a demonstrable record of winning significant new business.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • A successful track record selling enterprise software, SaaS or technology solutions into the UK Capital Markets sector.
  • Previous experience with a Capital Markets technology provider.
  • An established network of senior contacts across investment banks, brokers, clearing firms, custodians, asset managers and other institutional financial services organisations.
  • A demonstrable ability to leverage existing relationships to secure introductions, develop opportunities and win new clients.
  • Experience managing and closing complex, high-value, multi-year enterprise software contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of Capital Markets technology, including areas such as post-trade processing, reconciliation, clearing, settlement, middle-office operations or financial technology infrastructure.
  • Excellent consultative selling, commercial negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • The confidence and credibility to engage with C-suite executives and senior institutional decision-makers.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of UK revenue growth.
  • Strong commercial discipline, including CRM management, pipeline development and sales forecasting.

Importantly, this is a new business acquisition role, not an account management position.

We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate a genuine track record of winning new institutional clients and who already have the industry relationships needed to open doors within the UK Capital Markets community.

What's on Offer?
  • £100,000–£120,000 basic salary
  • Annual performance-related bonus
  • Sales commission
  • Comprehensive employee benefits package
  • Remote working, with London-based client meetings and industry engagement as required
  • Significant autonomy and ownership of the UK new business strategy
  • Opportunity to work with an ambitious international Capital Markets technology provider
  • Exposure to senior institutional decision-makers across the UK financial services industry
  • The opportunity to directly influence commercial growth and build a substantial UK client portfolio
Interested?

If you're an experienced Capital Markets Sales Director, Enterprise Sales Director or Senior Business Development professional with a strong UK institutional network and a proven ability to win new business, we'd welcome a conversation.
