4 Debt Recovery Officers, Immediate Start, Hybrid Working, London Based - #2182339

This North London Authority are looking for four Debt Recovery Officer. Details of the role are:

The Debt Recovery & Enforcement Officer is responsible for recovering and enforcing debts on behalf of the Council, including Council Tax, NEC Sundry Debts (Oracle Advanced Collections), and other debt recovery portfolios. The role ensures all debts are collected efficiently, fairly and in accordance with relevant legislation, case law, local policies and the Council’s Debt Recovery Policy, while protecting the Council’s financial interests and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Recover outstanding debts and maximize income collection across assigned debt portfolios.

Ensure debt recovery and enforcement actions are carried out in line with legislation, case law, Council policies and procedures.

Assess cases objectively and determine appropriate recovery and enforcement action.

Liaise with customers, enforcement agents, courts and other stakeholders to resolve debt cases effectively.

Maintain accurate records and provide advice and support to customers while balancing the Council’s duty to collect revenue.
