Totum Partners are working with a leading US law firm to recruit a Billing Manager for its London office. This is a senior, hands-on role with responsibility for the billing and revenue cycle, managing the billing team and working closely with partners and fee earners.

The ideal Billing Manager will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the London billing and revenue cycle, including billing, WIP, e-billing and outstanding accounts.
• Working closely with partners and fee earners to ensure billing is managed accurately and efficiently.
• Managing and developing the billing team, ensuring deadlines and departmental objectives are met.
• Producing financial information for senior stakeholders and providing updates on billing and revenue performance.
• Ensuring billing processes are compliant with VAT, SRA and firm requirements.

The ideal Billing Manager will have:

• Strong billing and revenue experience gained within a law firm.
• Previous experience managing or supervising a billing team.
• Excellent knowledge of UK and EU VAT regulations and SRA Accounts Rules.
• Experience using Elite 3E, Aderant or a similar legal finance system, alongside e-billing platforms.
• Strong Excel, communication and organisational skills, with the confidence to build effective relationships with partners and senior stakeholders.
