The Management Recruitment Group

The Company

AA4S is a well-established and growing accommodation provider, dedicated to delivering an outstanding experience for its residents through exceptional service, strong operational performance, and a people-first culture. With an ambitious outlook and a commitment to continuous improvement, the organisation has built a reputation for quality, professionalism, and long-term sustainability.

At the heart of AA4S is a collaborative and supportive environment where employees are empowered to contribute, develop professionally, and make a tangible impact. As the business continues to evolve, there is a strong focus on investing in people, processes, and technology to ensure the highest standards are maintained across all areas of the organisation.

The Role

AA4S is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced finance professional or an ambitious individual looking to further develop their career within a dynamic and commercially focused organisation.

Reporting into the Finance function, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring financial information is processed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of finance activities and will work closely with colleagues across the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include processing purchase and sales invoices, maintaining supplier and customer accounts, reconciling bank and balance sheet accounts, managing payment runs, monitoring cash movements, and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained. You will support month-end and year-end processes, assist with the preparation of management information, and contribute to the production of financial reports for internal stakeholders.

In addition, the role will involve assisting with VAT returns, payroll administration, audit preparation, and responding to finance-related queries from colleagues, suppliers, and external partners.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, helping the finance team enhance efficiency and strengthen financial controls as the business grows.

This is a varied and rewarding position that offers significant exposure across the entire finance function and the opportunity to develop valuable commercial and operational finance experience within a supportive team environment.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, numerically strong, and able to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. You will be comfortable managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change.

Applicants should have previous experience within a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeping, or similar finance role, alongside a solid understanding of core accounting principles and financial processes. Those studying towards an AAT qualification, or looking to continue their professional development within finance, will be particularly well suited to this opportunity.

You will be confident using Microsoft Excel and finance systems, possess strong analytical skills, and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Equally important is a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a desire to be part of a collaborative team where everyone contributes to achieving shared objectives.

AA4S is looking for someone who is dependable, adaptable, and committed to delivering a high standard of work. In return, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that values its people and provides genuine scope for career development and progression.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated finance professional to join a growing organisation and build a long-term career within a supportive and progressive finance team.
