Academics are urgently recruiting a Sports Specialist SEN TA to join a supportive specialist SEN school in Southwark.

Role: Sports Specialist SEN TA
Pay: £100 - £110 per day
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time | Term Time | Temp to Perm
Location: Southwark

This is a highly active and hands-on SEN TA role, ideal for someone from a Sports, Coaching, PE, Fitness or Youth Work background who enjoys working with young people in Southwark.

You will support pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them develop academically, socially and physically while encouraging confidence and independence.

A major part of the role involves practical Life Skills activities, so you won't be sitting in a classroom all day. Activities can include:

• Sports, PE and physical activities

• Outdoor learning and community-based activities

• Shopping and money-handling skills

• Travel training and developing independence

• Health, fitness and wellbeing activities

• Supporting pupils with communication and social skills

• 1:1 and small-group SEN support

We're looking for someone who is:

• Sporty, energetic and comfortable being active throughout the day

• Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEN

• Confident building positive relationships with pupils

• Patient, resilient and enthusiastic

• Able to commit to a full-time role Monday to Friday

• A Sports/PE-related graduate or experienced coach would be ideal, although SEN experience is not essential
