Learning Support Assistant - Redbridge

Are you passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential? Are you looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same and you can make a genuine difference to children's school experiences?

Academics are currently working with a welcoming primary school in Redbridge who are looking to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children with additional needs and is keen to develop their experience within a supportive primary school environment.

You will be supporting primary-aged pupils between 5 and 11 years old, working with children with a range of additional needs including SEMH, ASC, ADHD and SLD. The role will involve providing individual and small-group support, helping pupils access the curriculum, develop their confidence and build positive relationships within the classroom.

What makes this opportunity particularly exciting is the potential for progression. The initial contract will run until July 2027, with the possibility of a permanent position afterwards. There may also be opportunities to progress into more senior classroom support positions, including HLTA roles, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in education.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will:

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting primary-aged children.
  • Ideally have previous experience working with children with additional needs.
  • Be patient, adaptable and confident when supporting pupils with different learning requirements.
  • Have a positive approach and the ability to build strong relationships with children.
  • Be enthusiastic about developing their skills and progressing within education.

The role:

  • Location: Redbridge
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Daily pay: £93-£115
  • Contract: Until July 2027, with potential for a permanent position.
  • Working pattern: Full-time, term time only.
  • Parking available, although public transport is recommended.

If you are looking for a rewarding opportunity where you can make a real difference, gain valuable SEN experience and potentially progress into a permanent or HLTA position, we would love to hear from you!

Apply today or get in touch with Academics to find out more.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
