This full-service prestigious international city law firm wish to hire a Junior Legal Cashier to support their small and collaborative London finance team with firmwide legal account payable duties.

The firm require a promising Junior Legal Cashier eager to learn and develop their career in legal finance. You will ideally have current experience in a legal accounts department handling accounting tasks in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Rules.

Junior Legal Cashier – What you will be doing:

• Dealing with receipts and paying office account disbursements
• Transferring funds between office and client accounts

• Reconciliation of the firm’s credit card account
• Processing CHAPS payments when required
• Answering queries from Partners and Business Services groups

• Processing payments through bank
• Filing of all client account bank statements
• Updating the Finance Manager with any SRA account rule breaches and assisting with the annual SRA Audit
• Liaising with the business to solve account queries prior to postings
• Support on bills postings and issuing credit notes

Junior Legal Cashier – What we are looking for:

• Minimum of 1 years' current experience operating as a Legal Cashier or Accounts Assistant, preferably in the legal sector
• Working knowledge of Aderant preferred
• Strong academics, studying AAT beneficial but no essential
• Current knowledge of VAT, SAR and AML procedures
