PR Account Executive - #2187137
Boldspace | B Corp
Boldspace is looking for an Account Executive to join our corporate PR team.
ABOUT BOLDSPACE
Boldspace are a full service creative, brand and PR agency. A significant part of our offering is building and protecting brand reputations by injecting creativity into corporate affairs.
Because what was enough yesterday is no longer sufficient for today or tomorrow. Stakeholders are more complex and challenging than ever, and society demands better, more responsible brands that are agile to the needs of the communities they serve, while demonstrating long-term value creation beyond profit. And they demand this at speed.
A brand's reputation, and that of its leaders, lives and dies by how it chooses to respond and proactively communicate its positive role in society in an engaging, relatable and memorable way.
To build trust that endures requires a new way of thinking; where reputation management is dynamic, data-driven and unashamedly creative.
THE ROLE
The Account Executive will support the delivery of day-to-day activity across a number of corporate reputation and corporate communications accounts, working closely with Account Managers and senior team members to deliver high-quality work for clients across a range of sectors that will include Sport & Financial Services.
This role is ideal for someone with some experience in communications as well as a genuine passion for the industry, who is looking to develop their skills across media relations, corporate communications and reputation management in a fast-paced agency environment. Someone with a high level of personal ambition would particularly suit our environment.
Client servicing & relationship building: You will support the day-to-day management of client accounts, helping to build positive relationships with clients, journalists and wider stakeholders. You will be confident communicating professionally, responding to requests and ensuring tasks are followed up promptly. You will work closely with senior team members to help keep projects on track, meet deadlines and deliver a consistently high standard of client service.
Account delivery: You will play an active role in delivering corporate PR campaigns and ongoing press office activity across multiple accounts. Responsibilities will include media research, journalist outreach, monitoring coverage, compiling reports, drafting press materials, supporting thought leadership activity and helping coordinate account activity. You will take ownership of delegated tasks, ensuring work is accurate, delivered on time and completed to a high standard.
Media relations & news awareness: You will develop your understanding of the media landscape, building relationships with journalists and identifying relevant opportunities for clients. You will monitor the news agenda, stay on top of industry developments and help identify opportunities for proactive and reactive media engagement.
Creative thinking & campaign support: We are looking for someone who is curious, enthusiastic and keen to contribute ideas that help solve client challenges and build meaningful brand reputations. You will get involved in team brainstorms, contribute to campaign development and support the delivery of creative communications ideas. You will be encouraged to bring fresh thinking to the team and develop your confidence in turning ideas into effective PR activity.
Learning & development: This is a role with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow. You will work alongside experienced PR professionals, gaining exposure to a range of clients, sectors and communications challenges. We want someone who is eager to develop their skills, take on increasing responsibility and progress their career within the agency.
REQUIREMENTS
Relevant experience: You will ideally have 1–2 years' experience in PR, communications or a related field, preferably within an agency environment. Some experience of supporting PR or communications activity is beneficial, but enthusiasm, potential and a genuine interest in the industry are equally important.
Corporate communications interest: You will have a strong interest in corporate reputation, business communications and the issues that shape how brands are perceived by stakeholders, media and wider audiences.
Multi-sector interest: You will be excited by the opportunity to work across a variety of sectors and clients, supporting activity across trade, national and international media.
Media relations understanding: You will have an interest in media relations and a developing understanding of how the media works, including journalist engagement, media sell-ins, news awareness and press office activity.
Multi-channel awareness: You will understand that communications extends beyond traditional media relations and be interested in how different channels work together to support client objectives.
Organisation & time management: You will be organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. You will take responsibility for your workload, keep colleagues updated on progress and know when to ask for support.
Writing: You will be a confident and capable writer, with strong written communication skills and the ability to produce clear, accurate and engaging content. This could include media pitches, press releases, research documents, briefing materials and client reports.
Attention to detail: You take pride in producing high-quality work and have excellent attention to detail across written materials, research, reporting and account administration.
Curiosity & initiative: You will be naturally curious, keen to learn and enthusiastic about the world around you. You will take an interest in current affairs, business news, brands and the wider communications industry, bringing ideas and observations to the team.
Team player: You will thrive in a collaborative environment, supporting colleagues and contributing positively to team culture. You will be willing to get stuck in, take ownership of your responsibilities and actively seek opportunities to develop.
