This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children with a range of additional needs and would like to gain experience across different year groups and areas of SEND. - Providing additional assistance within the classroom and during learning activities.
- Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and remain engaged throughout the school day.
- Supporting children's social development, communication and emotional wellbeing.
- Adapting your approach to meet individual learning styles and additional needs.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and greater independence.
- Working alongside teachers and other support staff to ensure pupils receive the best possible support.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school or SEND setting.
- Have an understanding of different additional needs and the challenges some children may face in education.
- Be patient, approachable and adaptable, with a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
- Be confident building positive relationships with children of different ages and abilities.
- Have a proactive attitude and be willing to get involved wherever support is needed.
- Be enthusiastic about helping every child reach their individual potential.
What Academics can offer:
- Competitive daily rate of £93-£120, depending on experience.
- An immediate start in a long-term position.
- The opportunity to gain valuable experience supporting a range of SEND needs.
- The chance to work within an inclusive and welcoming primary school environment.
- Ongoing guidance and support from your dedicated Academics consultant.
- A rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference to children's education and development.
If you are a dedicated Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Havering, we would love to hear from you!
