Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant

A welcoming Secondary School in the London Borough of Redbridge is seeking a motivated and compassionate Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, starting as soon as possible.

In this role, you will provide dedicated support to secondary-aged pupils with a variety of additional needs, helping them access learning and develop both academically and personally. You may work with young people with Autism/ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and behavioural needs, providing encouragement, guidance and consistent support throughout the school day.

This opportunity would suit a graduate looking to gain valuable experience within education and develop their understanding of working with children and young people. It could be particularly well suited to Psychology graduates considering a future career in education, SEN, educational psychology, counselling, or other child-focused professions.

• Supporting children with a range of SEN across year groups
• Working with children with Autism / ASD, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural difficulties
• Working in a Secondary School
• ASAP start
• Full Time & Long Term
• £105 - £120 per day
• Located in the Borough of Redbridge

Person Specification - Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant

• Must have a good degree from a reputable University
• Good understanding of SEN is required
• Experience in a previous role, or personal experience with SEN would be ideal
• Passionate about supporting children with SEN
• You must be able to work effectively as part of a team
• Calm and compassionate nature
