We're supporting a well-established residential property operator in the search for a Facilities Technician to join the onsite team at one of their London communities.

Based at a modern 120-apartment residential development, you'll play an important role in maintaining the building, supporting residents, and ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the property. This is a varied, hands-on role that combines maintenance, compliance, and customer service, offering the opportunity to make a visible impact within a close-knit onsite team.

Working alongside the concierge, housekeeping, and property management teams, you'll help deliver a safe, well-presented, and welcoming environment while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general building maintenance, including painting, decorating, minor repairs, and routine upkeep.
  • Investigate maintenance issues and complete first-fix repairs where possible.
  • Undertake basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and handyman works.
  • Complete routine fire safety, emergency lighting, and other compliance checks.
  • Monitor building systems and report faults or maintenance concerns.
  • Escalate specialist repairs to contractors and follow works through to completion.
  • Work closely with concierge, housekeeping, and property management teams to maintain high standards across the building.
  • Respond professionally to resident enquiries and deliver excellent customer service.

Your Requirements:

  • Previous hands-on maintenance experience within residential, PBSA, BTR, PRS, hotel, social housing, or similar environments.
  • Good all-round knowledge of building maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and decorating works.
  • Experience carrying out routine compliance and health & safety checks.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with a resident-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and use initiative.
  • Comfortable identifying issues, troubleshooting faults, and escalating specialist works when necessary.
  • Successful applicants will be required to complete a DBS check.

What's On Offer:

  • Monday to Friday working pattern (9:00am - 6:00pm)
  • No weekend or bank holiday working
  • Stable, long-term opportunity within a growing residential environment
  • Friendly and collaborative onsite team
  • Varied role with autonomy and responsibility
  • Opportunity to develop broad facilities and property maintenance experience
  • Exposure to residential operations and property management
  • Supportive leadership team and positive working culture
