An opportunity to build your investing career with an investment management firm that places deep research, long-term thinking and sustainability at the heart of its approach.

Our client is seeking an Industrials Analyst to join its global equities team in London. You will have the opportunity to develop your own investment ideas, build a detailed understanding of businesses and contribute directly to investment decisions within a collaborative team.

The attraction is the depth of the work and the ownership on offer. Rather than covering a broad universe at a distance, you will develop real insight into a focused group of companies: understanding their competitive advantages, assessing management teams and exploring the industry dynamics that shape their long-term prospects.

The opportunity

You will source, research and value investment opportunities, taking responsibility for approximately 10–12 companies. Working alongside experienced investors, you will develop and challenge investment theses, build financial models and help drive decisions on the businesses you cover.

Your focus will predominantly be industrials, with flexibility to explore opportunities in other sectors. The investment universe spans areas such as capital goods, transport and logistics, industrial services and software, electrical equipment, energy, utilities, chemicals and building materials.

Sustainability forms an important part of the research process, alongside a rigorous assessment of business quality and valuation.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to understand not simply how a company performs today, but what will underpin its success over time.

The role is London-based, with some international travel to meet companies.

Who we are looking for

This role is aimed at candidates with 4–7 years’ relevant professional experience who are ready to take greater ownership of research and develop their investment judgement. It is an analyst-level opportunity, rather than a senior analyst or portfolio manager appointment.

Your background may include investment management, equity research, investment banking, consulting or private equity. You will bring strong financial modelling and business analysis skills, an appetite for in-depth research and a genuine enthusiasm for investing.

An interest in industrial businesses and a demonstrable interest in sustainability are important. Equally, you will be someone who enjoys forming an independent view, explaining your thinking clearly and engaging constructively with different perspectives.

The team values curiosity, humility and the confidence to take responsibility—making this an attractive opportunity for a thoughtful, motivated analyst seeking to build a long-term investment career.

Salary

Salary will be adjusted to experience level.

Due to the volume of applications, we may not be able to respond to everyone individually unless your experience closely matches the requirements outlined above.

We are committed to promoting fairness and equity throughout the recruitment process. If there is anything we can do to make the process more accessible or inclusive for you, please let us know.
