eFinancialCareers
You will be joining the Outsourced Chief Investment Officer function within our Insurance Capital Solutions team, which is responsible for managing the investment portfolio of Macquarie's asset intensive Bermudian reinsurer, InEvo Re.
As part of their mandate, the team oversees InEvo's deployment into new investments; manages InEvo's risk, liquidity and ALM strategy; partners with teams across Macquarie to establish new investment capabilities; and works with InEvo to negotiate investment guidelines and support on the pricing of new reinsurance transactions.
We are a global financial services group operating in 30 markets with 57 years of unbroken profitability. At Macquarie, you're empowered to shape a career that is fulfilling and creates value. You will bring your insights and expertise to the task at hand and feel supported as you make your own kind of impact for a better future.
What role will you play?
Joining as a Vice President in the illiquid investments team, you will lead the negotiation of private asset investment guidelines with cedants for new reinsurance transactions, ensuring guidelines are investable, appropriately protect InEvo and align with our investment capabilities; the negotiation and onboarding of new sub-advisor and third-party manager relationships, including due diligence of their capabilities, negotiating the IMAs and SLAs, and establishing the operating model; and cedant due diligence on our private credit capabilities, building cedants' comfort in our ability to originate, manage and monitor private assets.
Once onboarded, you will also oversee sub-advisor performance and ensure compliance with IMAs, investment guidelines and SLAs, including running regular (quarterly) review meetings, tracking actions and escalating issues where required, as well as reviewing the quality and timeliness of sub-advisor reporting, valuations and internal ratings, and acting as the day-to-day contact for our Private Credit business and other third-party managers.
You will develop repeatable onboarding precedents, templates and processes, so that new managers can be brought on quickly and consistently.
Lastly, you will collaborate with our Private Credit business and other Macquarie divisions to establish new investment capabilities for InEvo, and will evaluate new asset class opportunities, including fit with cedant collateral guidelines, capital treatment and asset structuring for InEvo.
What you offer
- Experience negotiating investment guidelines for private credit strategies, ideally with/for insurers, and overseeing and conducting due diligence on external or sub-advised managers, including onboarding, IMA and SLA negotiation, and ongoing performance and compliance monitoring
