Senior Commercial Lead | Retail Media - #2189958

I'm partnering with an established, high-profile retail business to appoint a senior commercial leader into its growing Retail Media division.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a developing commercial function, leading a team of retail media professionals and shaping how the business drives advertising revenue, supplier partnerships and long-term account growth at scale.

The business is entering an exciting phase of development, with a significant focus on standardising its commercial approach, improving account management processes and creating a more scalable revenue-generation model across its supplier network.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Retail Media Director, you'll lead a team of 4/5 media and account management professionals.

This isn't simply a traditional account management or advertising sales position. The focus is on building the structure, processes and commercial strategy that enable a team to operate more effectively, develop stronger supplier relationships and deliver consistent revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of 4-5 retail media and account management professionals.
• Develop and implement scalable commercial processes, sales frameworks and account management playbooks.
• Drive advertising revenue growth across a broad portfolio of supplier and brand partnerships.
• Establish consistent approaches to account segmentation, pricing, supplier engagement and commercial planning.
• Improve sales pipeline management, forecasting, reporting and team accountability.
• Identify opportunities to increase supplier investment in digital advertising, retail media and customer insight solutions.
• Build strategic relationships with key suppliers, advertisers and media agency partners.
• Work cross-functionally to improve commercial performance, operational efficiency and the overall retail media proposition.

What They're Looking For

• Proven experience within Retail Media - this is essential.
• Experience leading and developing commercial, account management or media partnerships teams.
• A strong understanding of supplier relationships, advertiser investment and retail media monetisation.
• Demonstrable experience driving revenue growth across sizeable account portfolios.
• Experience implementing commercial processes, frameworks, playbooks or scalable account management structures.
• Strong commercial judgement, analytical ability and stakeholder management skills.
• An understanding of media agency relationships and the wider digital advertising landscape.

Package & Location

• Salary: £80,000 to £90,000
• Bonus: Up to 20%
• Hybrid working
