This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Science teacher and leader to drive the department forward, inspire both staff and students, and play a key role in raising achievement across the school.

As Head of Science, you will:

• Lead, manage and develop the Science department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

• Inspire and motivate a team of dedicated Science teachers.

• Drive student progress and attainment across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

• Develop an engaging and ambitious curriculum that promotes curiosity and a love of Science.

• Monitor departmental performance and implement strategies to secure continuous improvement.

• Create a positive learning environment where all students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will:

• Be an outstanding and enthusiastic Science teacher.

• Have proven experience of leading or managing a Science department, or be an ambitious middle leader ready to take the next step.

• Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge across the Science curriculum.

• Have a strong track record of improving student outcomes.

• Be an inspirational leader with the ability to motivate, support and develop colleagues.

• Have high expectations and a genuine passion for education.

• An exciting leadership opportunity in a school based in Islington.
