Finance Director (Retail, Wholesale, E-Commerce - #2190202

Salary: £100,000–£130,000 depending on experience and working pattern

Mapped Recruitment is partnering with a premium consumer brand with circa £11 million turnover to recruit a Finance Director. The business operates across retail, e-commerce and wholesale, with ambitious plans for further growth in the UK and US.

As the number one in Finance, you will work closely with the Managing Director, Creative Director and wider Senior Leadership Team. You will provide the financial leadership and commercial insight needed to support expansion, alongside robust reporting, controls and cash management.

This is a strategic and hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys a fast-paced growth environment and wants to make a visible contribution to the business.

The business will consider full-time candidates or those seeking three or four days per week, with flexibility to structure the supporting finance team around this appointment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function and act as a trusted partner to the Managing Director, Creative Director and Board.
• Own the annual budget, longer-term financial planning and forecasting processes.
• Oversee management accounts, consolidated reporting, cash flow forecasts and Board reporting.
• Provide commercial analysis across retail, ecommerce and wholesale, including margins, stock and channel profitability.
• Support UK and US growth through investment appraisals, new store business cases and scenario modelling.
• Strengthen financial controls, reporting systems and processes to support scale.
• Oversee UK and US financial compliance, tax and regulatory matters, working with external advisers.
• Manage banking relationships, foreign exchange exposure and working capital.
• Lead and develop the finance team while maintaining a practical approach to delivery.

Skills and experience

• Qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Proven senior finance leadership experience, ideally within a growing retail, ecommerce or consumer business.
• Experience managing multi-entity and multi-currency operations.
• Strong understanding of UK and US tax and regulatory requirements.
• Confident partnering with senior leaders and presenting at Board level.
• Commercial judgement alongside strong financial control and reporting skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience supporting international expansion, particularly into the US, would be advantageous.

This role is based in the West London area and offers Hybrid working.
