Location: Central London – Hybrid Working

Salary: £36,192–£39,936 FTE (pro rata)

Hours: 14 hours per week (2 days)

MLC Partners is delighted to be partnering with an environmental charity based in Central London to recruit a Part-Time Finance Officer.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a close-knit team and play a key role in supporting the charity's day-to-day financial operations.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will take responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions and ensuring effective financial controls across the organisation.

The Role

• Process and monitor day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage staff expenses, including personal and corporate credit card expenditure.
• Support the reconciliation of income and expenditure across central and project activities.
• Liaise with external payroll providers regarding staff payroll and pension administration.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Assist the Head of Finance with wider finance administration and operational activities.
• Work closely with colleagues across the charity to resolve financial queries.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a Finance Officer, Finance Assistant or similar role.
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is essential.
• Strong understanding of financial processes, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Experience supporting payroll and pension administration.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of day-to-day finance responsibilities.
• A flexible, proactive and collaborative approach suited to a small charity environment.
• Charity or not-for-profit experience would be advantageous.
